Saturday was a busy day for Allen Realty Group. We did our first ever Sanford Mainers game as a client appreciation event, collected school supplies for the “Stuff the Bus” group, and headed to a local Jamaican restaurant. What a fun whirlwind it was!
We invited our current and past clients to a night out on the baseball field. The Sanford Mainers is a part of The New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL). This wooden bat league brings together some of the finest college athletes from around the country right to our own backyard.
We put together a basket and asked attendees to bring extra school supplies if they wanted an extra entry into the raffle. The organization we collected for is called “Stuff the Bus“. They collect school supplies including (but not limited to) backpacks, pencils, pens, tissues, markers and note books for students in the area. One of our awesome lending partners, Jamie from Northpoint, came along this journey with us and helped to collect school items and added to our raffle basket as well. The Mainers played a great game against the Newport Gulls coming out on top after 9 innings. The stands were packed and you could feel the excitement growing as the game started. We were there on Kentucky Derby night so we saw the Mainers own version of the Kentucky Derby with the interns and fake horses as they ran around the infield. It was so funny to watch and the kids around us couldn’t get enough of the craziness.
The stadium is the perfect size for a night out with friends and family. It brings together a wholesome atmosphere that the young, the old and everyone in between can enjoy. They even put together a section for us to gather with our clients. To say it was so tasty would be an understatement! Our group ordered two oxtail meals, a brisket sandwich and jerk chicken. It is a quintessential local joint. They had different beverages that sounded so interesting, like pineapple ginger and tropical carrot. We tried the grapefruit drinks and loved it. The seating area had this awesome table top that looked like a scene from the sea. You have to check it out!
