The skies are full of wonder – and this is no exception!
Turn your eyes upward to experience the Orionid Meteor Showers from October 2 through November 7th, where you’ll get to see up to 20 of them per hour!
Orionid’s will peak in the pre-dawn hours of October 27th. The best time to view them will be prior to sunrise at 7:07am EST.
The Hunter’s Moon will be full on October 20th, so only the brightest meteors will be visible in the sky. These are fast moving showers, produced by dust grains left by Halley’s Comet, and while they seem to originate from the Orion constellation, they are visible nearly anywhere in the sky. Sometimes they even create fireballs which are bright enough to overcome the glare of moonlight!
