My name is Natasha Canty, I started Cloud9 Blankets in 2019 and I’m all about creating the coziest blankets that make you feel right at home, no matter where you are. Whether it’s a chilly evening on the couch or adding a touch of warmth to your bedroom, I specialize in designing blankets that are as comfortable as they are stylish. I offer a variety of color options, from bright, one tone pastels, to UNH’s blue, white and silver, all made from high-quality yarn. Every blanket I create is crafted with care, and I put a lot of heart into ensuring that each one feels like a little hug. My goal is simple: to bring comfort and warmth into every home, and to make sure my blankets are a perfect fit for your lifestyle—whether you want your favorite color, a statement piece in your reading room, or the colors of your beloved pets. I’m all about quality, and it’s important that every blanket I create is something you’ll love and use for years to come.
Tell us about the “AHA! Moment!” that led you to start your business.
My ‘AHA! Moment’ came when I was home sick with the flu one winter, lying in bed and wrapped 
in an old, thin blanket that just wasn’t doing the job. I realized how much we rely on blankets for comfort, yet so many of them are just… lacking. That’s when it hit me—why not create blankets that are truly cozy and warm, breathable, and beautiful? Something that could offer both physical and emotional comfort. That moment of frustration inspired me to make my own that very night. And that is how I started my own business; Cloud9 Blankets, where I focus on making high-quality blankets that bring comfort and style into every home.
What do you love about your job?
I love knowing that my blankets bring comfort to people, whether it’s on a chilly day or when they’re feeling sick. I also enjoy the creative process—designing new patterns and finding new color ways that look fabulous. Not to mention the stress relief I get from sitting down for a few hours and weaving my fingers through the soft material. But hearing from customers about how much they love their blankets is the most rewarding part.
