Can you believe we are 90 days out from Christmas, Hanukkah, and the New Year? If you’re someone who likes to send Holiday Portraits to your family and friends each year, you better be at our Fall Festival on September 30th, where our portraits are complimentary!
If you’re camera shy (or camera-awkward, like Catherine) these tips may be helpful for making the best of your photo sesh.
#1 – Pick a style. Do you want candid shots or posed photos? What sort of photos do you want to take together? It’s best to plan ahead and work together.
#2 – Don’t be too matchy matchy. Pick a color scheme and work within those complimentary colors.
#3 – Be mindful of the venue. You don’t want to blend into the background so wear clothes that will look great in the photos while making you standout. (Don’t forget to dress for the weather!)
#4 – Skip the busy patterns. You want the attention to be on your family, not on your clothes. Also make sure your clothes are comfortable and not wrinkled.
#5 – HAVE FUN! This is a great time to show your family’s true colors. Enjoy your time together and don’t forget to smile.
Remember to relax and have fun. We hope these tips help you make the most of your family portraits!
