If you live in New England, you know how beautiful the fall foliage is. But where should you go to enjoy it to the fullest? Your town might have beautiful trees but here are 3 other trips you should take to take advantage of the leaf peeping.
Kancamagus Highway
In the middle of September, you’ll start to see the trees change colors. Peak foliage in October is usually the first two weeks. Then, they’ll start to turn brown and fall down by the end of October. Check it out during peak season to get the best views. With a little over 30 miles, the Kanc boasts some of the best views in the area.
Lake Winnipesaukee Loop in New Hampshire
This beautiful loop will leave you in awe. Starting in Alton, you can take the loop towards Wolfeboro while stopping along the way for taverns, shops and more. The leaves will leave you with breathtaking views. Be sure to stop along the way to take photos!
Maine’s Acadia National Park
Acadia’s Jordan Pond loop will leave you breathless with the amazing autumn views. Along with the other hikes in the park, there will be no shortage of amazing views in the park. Take a trip up Cadillac Mountain for the sunrise. Looking down on Bar Harbor with the leaves is *chef’s kiss*.
